USA 1982 PVC Records – PVC 6901 - Polyrock was an American post-punk/new wave band formed in New York City in 1978. Led by singer/guitarist Billy Robertson, the band comprise by vocalist Catherine Oblasney, guitarist Tommy Robertson, drummer Joseph Yannece, keyboard player Lenny Aaron, and bass player Curt Cosentino. They had a keyboard-heavy, pattern-based sound strongly reminiscent of Philip Glass's work and minimalism. Glass performed on their first two albums

Together with Sonic Youth and Swans, Live Skull defined the term "noise rock" in the 1980s, spearheading the post-No Wave underground music scene in NYC with a series of legendary live performances and eight groundbreaking records released over the course of that decade. Often brutal and yet strangely seductive, each of these classic records creates hooks out of the most unlikely, seemingly disruptive elements, subverting traditional rock forms in previously unheard ways that became an undeniable (albeit often unacknowledged) influence on many of their contemporaries. Live Skull broke up in 1989, just within sight of that magical moment when the sort of music they pioneered began to finally break through, but the band's recorded output reminds us that Live Skull got there first

USA 1988 Roman Candle Records ‎– RCR001 - w/insert - Bitch Magnet was an American post-hardcore band who formed in 1986 at Oberlin College in Ohio and later moved to North Carolina, United States.[1] They released their first record in 1988.[1] All of the band's albums were released on Communion Records in the US;[1] they were also signed to the European labels Shigaku/What Goes On and Glitterhouse. The band disbanded in 1991.[1] Frontman Sooyoung Park later formed the band Seam[1] with Mac McCaughan (of Superchunk) and Lexi Mitchell. Post-Seam, Park also played guitar in Ee. David Grubbs, who was a founding member of Squirrel Bait, was briefly a member of the band while also leading Bastro.[1] Orestes Morfin went on to drum for Walt Mink and God Rifle. Jon Fine formed Vineland and Coptic Light, and was briefly a touring guitarist for Don Caballero
