Although the group was only formed recently they have been playing together for six years in the many Irish Music session which go on in Leeds where they all live. Each member of the group is known as a performer in his own right, and has played in concerts, festivals, radio etc. All of the group are multi-instrumentalists and their line up of instruments varies giving a wide treatment to the songs and tunes they play

Australia 1970 Transatlantic Records – STAL-934186 - Storyteller toured the local jazz and folk clubs in the UK and were signed by Transatlantic Records recording two albums 'Storyteller', produced by Peter Frampton and 'More Pages'. The group appeared on the same bill with The Humblebums (Gerry Rafferty and Billy Connolly), Hawkwind, and Vinegar Joe (Elkie Brooks and Robert Palmer) during their time. The group's highlight came when they were support act for a UK tour by Ralph McTell, beginning at the Royal Festival Hall, London

They were active between 1971 and 1989, releasing more than twenty albums as well as six singles. Their highest-charting single is "Callin' Baton Rouge", which peaked at No. 37 on the U.S. country charts in 1989 and was a Top 5 country hit for Garth Brooks five years later. In 2020, the group were inducted into the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame
