Calico Records – PSY 101 - Early 80s repress. Psychedelic Unknowns - 20 Obscure tracks recorded in the first age of psychedelia and brought together in 1979 on 2 limited edition E.P.'s released only in the USA. Now they are together for the first time, ever, on THIS L.P. and released in England where there seems to be a Psychedelic Revival!?! As you browse across the tracks I hope you will not be put off simply becouse the names are unfamiliar. This record is not intended as a "Greatest Hits". What you will find is a collection of 20 "Mind Blowing Experiences" gathered from every part of the USA where they were just "Gathering Dust!". When the tracks were originally released on local independent labels, sales were propably less than 1.000 copies. Now 15 years later Calico Records are hoping that the music will generate much larger sales - not for the money - but that we may be able to finance further excursions in the world of Psychedelia. At the moment the answer to that is... UNKNOWN. ℗ 1979
